Looks great, super simple to use, and guests absolutely loved it! The setup is lightning fast and the sleek design really draws people in. It performed flawlessly at every event we used it at, and made sharing photos with guests a breeze. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be using it for all our upcoming events!
We have been using this setup ever since it was launched. I couldn't get it fast enough and we use it often. I love this ipad booth! It sets me apart from all the competition! Easy to set up and take down. Best investment in my inventory and a money maker!
We purchased the Explorer Photo Booth from LA Photo Party about 2 years ago, and we’ve been really impressed with it. At just 25 pounds, it’s lightweight enough that most people can easily lift and transport it. Setting it up is a breeze, too—it takes less than 10 minutes to have it fully assembled and running. Since it’s iPad-based, it can be battery-powered and doesn't require an electrical outlet. This makes it incredibly convenient for events in places where power sources are limited.
The top part of the booth, which houses the iPad, is mounted on a swivel, so it’s super easy to adjust the angle for each photo. Plus, the top can be removed entirely if you want to use it for roaming photography, which is a nice touch. The design is both sturdy and sleek— it feels well-built but has a modern look that works well with any setting. Overall, this booth is compact, efficient, and a great addition to any event!
And we would be remiss not to mention the incredible team at LA Photo Party. They are truly innovators for the photo booth industry and are all top notch.
iPad booths have their place; fast and efficient, simple to operate and a great drop off solution. The Explorer from LA Photo Party has taken the category to the next level! Sturdy construction combined with intuitive software and a fun, funky profile, The Explorer is an iPad booth that is worth the investment; presenting your business as a leader in the arena!
Explorer is best for operators who prioritize portability, fast setup, and a streamlined iPad-based photo booth workflow. It works well for solo operators, recurring event programs, drop-off-style setups, corporate events, private parties, and teams that need a polished booth without the weight or complexity of a larger DSLR system.
Explorer is one of the most portable booth options in the LA Photo Party hardware lineup. At approximately 25 pounds, it is built for fast load-ins, simple transport, and frequent event use. The lightweight aluminum body and compact design make it a strong fit for operators who move between venues often.
Explorer supports iPad Pro screen options in either 11-inch or 12.9-inch formats. That gives operators flexibility to choose a more compact configuration or a larger guest-facing display, depending on the event style, preferred interface size, and booth presentation needs.
Explorer uses the iPad Pro camera for capture, including a 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. This makes Explorer an iPad-based booth rather than a DSLR booth, keeping the system lightweight, compact, and easy to operate for fast-moving event workflows.
Explorer uses third-party iPad photo booth software such as Curator or Snappic, purchased separately from those providers. The capture app comes from the iPad software selected for the event workflow, giving operators flexibility in how they manage guest interaction, branding, sharing, and delivery.
Yes. Explorer can support printing and digital sharing when configured with compatible iPad photo booth software, printer hardware, and the right event workflow. Operators can create branded layouts, guest-facing delivery options, and physical takeaways depending on the software, accessories, and event setup used.
Yes. Explorer can be vinyl wrapped for branding, sponsorship, or booth business identity. That makes it useful for corporate activations, branded event programs, weddings, and operators who want a portable booth that still looks intentional in the event environment.
Explorer is available in black and white, with 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro configuration options. That gives operators a clean set of choices around finish and screen size without needing a separate product page for each variation.
Explorer is designed for very fast open-air setup. Operators assemble the booth, mount the iPad, connect power when needed, configure the selected iPad photo booth software, test capture and delivery, then open the booth for guests. The lightweight design helps keep setup simple for frequent events and smaller teams.
Explorer can support both battery-powered and direct-power workflows depending on the event configuration. With support for a four-hour battery and direct 110v power, operators have flexibility for different venues, event layouts, run times, and booth placement needs.
Explorer starts at $2,999. Final pricing depends on screen size, color, accessories, availability, and the event workflow the operator wants to build around the booth.
